The Royal Montserrat Police Service (RMPS) is assisting police in Antigua with its investigations into Deon Perkins who was caught with 11.8 million dollars worth of cocaine.
Perkins, who has Montserrat connections, was apprehended on the Sir George Walter Highway last Wednesday after he was found with two hundred and eighty-six bricks of cocaine with a combined weight of 336.40 kilograms or 740.8 pounds.
He has since been charged with unlawful possession, intent to transfer, being concerned with the supply of 740.8 pounds of cocaine and drug trafficking.
Commissioner of Police Steve Foster says the recent arrest of Perkins in just one of many instances where the RMPS has had to share intelligence with law enforcement authorities in the twin island state.
