Mobile Patrol Nets Drug Seizure and Multiple Arrests Across City Districts

A targeted police operation aimed at bolstering public safety led to several arrests and a drug seizure on Monday, following coordinated patrols through key communities in and around the city.
Antigua and Barbuda Local law enforcement confirmed that the mobile patrol covered Freeman’s Village, Seaview Farm, Yorks, Bathlodge, and Nut Grove.
Officers conducted extensive searches of both individuals and vehicles during the operation.
A quantity of plant-like material suspected to be cannabis and hashish was discovered, resulting in the arrest of a young man who was taken into custody.
The patrol team also executed five search warrants at various locations, leading to the arrest of Lester Parker of Freeman’s Village, Shalom Bailey of Yorks, and two individuals from Nut Grove.
Police say investigations are ongoing and continue to urge members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to assist in maintaining community safety.
