Fourteen-year-old Tanijah Cochrane of St. Johnsons Village has been reported missing by her mother, Tanisha Jeffrey. Tanijah left home at 8:30 AM for school, where she was scheduled to serve detention. She was last seen wearing her school uniform. As of 9:00 PM, she has not returned home.
If you have any information about her whereabouts, please contact her family or notify the authorities immediately.

Why you serving detention at times like these. Smh. Just hit her with some demerits and let them spend their weekend at home. Sometimes I don’t feel sorry for some a them, following so call friends into unknown dangers.

Why did you highlight “serving detention” and then waited until 9pm to realize she is not at home? First of all did you contact the school to find out if she was at detention and what at time she was released etc, etc? I know for sure it wasn’t 9pm! So why waiting this long to report a 14yr old missing, knowing the horrible thing that just happened to Chantel? Let’s hope she turn up safe.

I believe in corpral punishment but sometimes we are too quick to beat children, when you should be teaching them.

What are the authorities doing to protect the youths of your nation? Talk isn’t enough. Antiguans must take full countrol. Gang up and form your own neighborhood security and protect the kids at all cost.
Parents and guardians have to be more vigilant. Hot in the pants hormone addled little girls and guys need to know their place and stop running away from home because they can’t get their way. Older guys need to stop preying on school girls and go find their sex and size to ramp with. Police needs to crack that suspected circle that’s abducting people in Antigua and they need to be more visible and more vigilant in our communities serving with integrity and intent holding to the mandate of protect and serve. I hope she returns home safely for enough is enough already!
