Minor Charged With Sacrilege Placed At Secured Residential Facility

The 14-year-old boy who was charged with several counts of Sacrilege was reportedly placed at a Secured Residential Facility.

According to reports, the placement was made by the Child Justice Board after the teenager met with the body on Thursday.

The Child Justice Act 2015 creates a separate criminal justice process for accused persons under the age of 18.

The Child Justice Board, which was established by the Act, is responsible for determining whether cases involving minors can be diverted from the regular justice system before a plea is taken.

Possible diversion options include an order to issue an apology, attend counselling or make restitution.

If the matter cannot be diverted, the board may allow a prosecutor to assess whether there is enough evidence for the matter to go to trial.

The 14-year-old is accused of breaking into the Jennings Wesleyan Holiness Church on three separate occasions, between 1st and 2nd September; October 20th and 26th, and November 25th and 26th, 2019.

He is also accused of breaking into Bolans Pentecostal Church, between October 13th and 14th, 2019 and the Bolans Seventh-Day Adventist Church between 13th and 15th October, 2019.

He was further charged for breaking into Cedar Hall Moravian Church in Jennings, sometime between October 27th and 28th, 2019.

  1. This kid is one sick puppy. Turn him over to the Church Lady’s Prayer Circle. They’ll pray that demon out of him. Salvation is the only answer.

  2. The value of the church seems to becoming less important within the community… The ” modern day fabric ” of the churches seems to be a contributing factor as to why persons no longer have that respect for God….. That lack of respect is trickling down to the homes and hence impacting negatively on the community…..
Religious knowledge should be made a compulsory subject in the schools. In addition the churches should revert back to the traditional way of worshipping and hosting of inhouse programs… It may help!!

    • Who knows? Maybe this guy was hurt by church members and that’s what led him to his disdain for church? He’s wrong to have done what he did but people acting like “the fear of god” only now disappeared are fooling themselves. People in the pulpit are doing worse than this teen behind closed doors. There’s no need for churches in a modern society.

  3. Why is our society producing children with these capabilities?

If a mango tree starts producing coconuts wouldn’t you ask how could this be?

The society is producing these children they are not inventing these things.

  4. This law or special wording of the law has no place in a modern society either.

I am certain that the UK has modernized her laws with regards to blasphemy and sacrilege but the colonized Africans can see no farther than his nose just revels in doing what he’s told by his master.

  5. Black man will never be free as long as they worship a white god… You pray to white Jesus … you think a white man was god you will always be enslaved to the white man
