Ministry of Works Announces Night Road Works in Collins Near Pares Village

Collins road is one of the feeder roads that needs to be fixed with urgency. The Ministry of Works should be using its own equipment and engineers to rebuild some of these roads. Also the overtime needs to be stopped. The guys crowd up in the day sugar caking. Recently I saw about 25 workmen working in an area of approximately 100 square feet. Then the go to work at night and pile up hours and go on the public radio and cry out government owns them some ridiculous over time hours. Tell me how can we be owing so much overtime, paying so much equipment, so much fuel and all , not some all our roads have deteriorated in such a sad state.
So take for example led by engineer Red Craig a well put together team take on the Collin’s project. They should already have done all their research, testing, designing , locating existing APUA pipes and planning. Have a complete implementation schedule- Equipment, materials etc everything planned. Unless we become more efficient and productive within the government system we will continue to struggle.
I said red Craig because I know he is a senior engineer. He is more than capable. He is driving a top quality government vehicle. The has the respect of the workers. Hear the other side – He should be utilized better instead of him using government vehicle and time supervising private engineering work with the Serian contractor building private road , in the development in the south side.
