This is so mindless. Smoke n’ Mirrors, Smoke n’ Mirrors.
I keep hearing Looney Toons theme song…..That’s All Folks!
Who are these Criminals trying to fool? They have already fleeced us of millions and closed the lid on the matter like nothing ever happened, so this is no solace to anyone. Yesterday was the first time I ever heard a LabourRat condemn the actions of the Cult and he was really hurting. These people need to be stopped, and now rather than later.
Madam minister, not only the Vechicle but also the fuel. Fuel is given and sold to private equipment owners by your fuel supply guys. Then you have private equipment, hired by public workers and are parked most of the time. Then you have people at all levels selling materials. They order materials for projects they are working on and deliver them elsewhere. Then there is the unnecessary overtime. They line in the day and show up at nights. Then see them in TV and calling in o. Radio talk shows calling out your name and saying the government owes them hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Madam for the quality of roads we have. For the type of maintenance on government properties where is the value for our tax dollars. This has been going on long before you and is still talking place up to today.
They you have a cadre of qualified engineers. With all the necessary equipment and tools. Yet we have CO Williams playing around with our roads . Take a drive up factory road and see the nonsense, the inconvenience almost in a daily basis. See the less qualified, with less equipment , while your engineers are out on private projects doing sidelines.
PWD lacks proper administrative management and complete oversight. That entire ministry is a cesspool of corruption. The culture from the messengers , the engineers, the directors, the drivers and operators, the field supervisor, the quarries, the concrete plant. The suppliers to PWD for decades have been over pricing to this day- Baba and the equipment.
Madam minister you are young and I am of the opinion that you can bring about that change. Do your internal auditing of every department, every iota and you will be saving Antigua not millions but billions.
