The Ministry of Education will present an overview of the country’s performance in the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations held this year.
Education Minister, Michael Browne, Director of Education, Clare Browne, and local CXC Registrar, Myrick Smith will address the nation in a press conference today.
At the press conference, the education officials will provide statistical data on the performance of local students in the exams particularly as they compare with performances in previous years.
Results from the exams are already available to students who can access them via the CXC website by using their registration ID number.
The overall results are, however, sent to the ministry which will conduct a comparative analysis and present its findings to the public.
This year has been a challenge as the coronavirus pandemic affected all aspects of education after the shutdown in March this year. It also caused the start of the regional examination to be postponed.
