In Loving Memory of
Ms. Lenore Henry
The Ministry of Education mourns with deep sadness the passing of Ms. Lenore Henry, a towering figure whose life and work have left an indelible mark on the education system of Antigua and Barbuda.
Her contribution to national develop-
ment through education was nothing short of outstanding, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
She distinguished herself as an outstanding teacher whose passion for learning and commitment to student development set the highest standards of excellence.
She went on to serve with competence and vision as a respected and revered principal, earning the admiration of colleagues, students, and parents alike.
Her leadership, professionalism, and unwavering dedication further defined her service as Senior Education Officer, Deputy Chief Education Officer, and later as Acting Chief Education Officer, a role she fulfilled for one year.
Even after her tenure in senior public office, Ms. Henry continued to give selflessly to the advancement of education, having served as a teacher at the St. Joseph’s Academy, and most recently serving as Chair of the ABICE Board of Directors.
In every role she held, she exemplified service, humility, and an unrelenting commitment to excellence in education.
The Ministry of Education extends sincere condolences to her family, loved ones, former colleagues, and the wider education community. We honour her remarkable life of service and pray that her soul will repose in perpetual peace.

She was my boss, my college, my friend, my fellow October Royalty! We loved each other! Rest easy, my dear! No more pain, now!
Thank you Ms Henry. She sent us to Cuba on scholarship.
Ms Henry was our principal at Holy Trinity School in Barbuda for a few years and during her tenure, she started the Brownies and Cub Scout club to which I was inducted as a Brownie with aspiring hopes of becoming a Girl Guide but unfortunately her time came to an end in Barbuda and she was transferred back to Antigua. To this day I cherish every memory of being a Brownie in Barbuda.
Rest in peace to my head mistress
RIP you were a solid woman
She was an excellent Principal and treated my children as if they were her own. We had many discussions about their school work and the progress they were making. She was always willing to give me an ear. Thank God she my children to navigate their way through school and are now productive citizens.
