The Ministry of Health, Wellness
The Ministry said in a statement tonight that it has been informed of the death but the cause is yet to be determined.
“The Ministry expresses condolences to the child’s family on the death of their loved one and has initiated a review of the circumstances of this regrettable outcome,” the statement said.
It has been reported that the child fell ill at home and was taken to a community health clinic.
She was then taken to the Mount St. John’s Medical Centre a few days later in an unresponsive state. The Ministry says it views all sudden deaths as serious, particularly when a child is involved.
Kishara was a grade four student of the J.T Ambrose School.
