Antigua and Barbuda Recognizes World Animal Day

Every year on October 4th, the world unites to celebrate World Animal Day—a global initiative dedicated to raising the status of animals and improving their welfare standards everywhere. This day serves as a reminder that the relationship between humans and animals is both profound and essential, extending beyond companionship into areas of food security, agriculture, livelihoods, and the preservation of biodiversity.
Here in Antigua and Barbuda, the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries and the Blue Economy proudly recognize the importance of this day.
