Candidates came together after the count

Michael Freeland has won a primary for the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party in St. George.

He defeated his main competitor Joel Rayne, 331 votes, in a closely fought race.

Freeland amassed 360 votes in total. The other two competitors were Salim Browne (42) and Bakesha Francis James (142).

Freeland now steps into the role of caretaker for the ABLP for the constituency. The St. George seat is now held by Algernon ‘Serpent’ Watts of the main opposition UPP.
