Director of the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services, Dale Destin, has reiterated the need for additional personnel to enhance operations.
Speaking on state media during World Meteorological Day, Destin stressed that more staff and specialized expertise are crucial for the “Early Warning for All” initiative.
“We are still waiting for 12 new positions promised by the government. These roles, covering oceanography, agrometeorology, project management, and communications, are essential for fulfilling our responsibilities,” he said.
A year after the commitment, the positions remain unfilled.

Strict ? Yes I want him on my team, taking all the trips training not good ,one of the big problems we have is to not train another person to take over the position at the top, up to when they are getting ready to go on retirement they are still going on training for what?
