The case against Angela Mejia, who is accused of killing nine-year-old Chantel Crump, has been sent to the May Assizes following the submission of the prosecution’s exhibit list in the St. John’s Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Prosecutors presented an updated list of at least 28 items, including two CD-ROMs—one said to contain roughly 40 crime scene photographs and another with more than 150 autopsy images. The evidence also includes a pathology report and a flash drive described as holding forensic material linked to Chantel Crump.

Among the physical exhibits are items of clothing recovered from the scene, including a Five Islands Primary School uniform, pink and white underwear, black school shoes and a white vest. Investigators also listed two KFC bags and cups, along with a flashlight.

A trial date before a judge and jury is expected to be set when the matter comes before the High Court during the May Assizes.

  1. Pilate said, “I find no fault with this man. I wash my hands.”
He left Jesus at the mercies of the people who crucified him.
Nagio said, “I am not making the people of antigua descend on me. DPP Joseph the ball is in your court. I dont know how this child dead so see how you unravel this”
She sent Mejia to the DPP who will decide by what means the pepple crucify her.
Magistrates do not have to feel that they have to bow to public pressure.
What is the cause of death of little Miss Crump?
Sure, I want her killer to face justice.
However justice must be done in accordance with the law.
Mr DPP, please revisit the Vincia James case.
    No body, no case!!
    This case:
No cause of death, no case.

  2. You are a real DUNCE!!!! I’ve been reading all of your dunce comments on here for the last few weeks but this one takes the cake. The magistrate did her role by reading the file and is satisfied that there is sufficient evidence for this matter to be tried before a judge and jury. It is not the magistrate job to reveal the cause of death. You be so ignorant on here for the sake of petty political nonsense. Have you ever heard of a murder trial where the cause of death is released to the media before the actual trial. Jah man you can’t be this DUMB!!!
