The Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) is pleased to announce the achievement of the country’s most recent Junior Basketball Scholarship recipient, 15-year-old, Shamoi Tonge.
Tonge, a member of the Wadadli Elite Basketball Club, accepted a scholarship to attend Olympus Basketball Academy in the United States of America (USA), through a strategic partnership between Wadadli Elite and Gimme Five Worldwide.
President of the ABBA, Ms. Kebra Nanton pledged the Association’s continued support, as Shamoi embarks on his journey to continue his basketball career overseas and maximize his development as a student athlete.
She further stated that this partnership, and others alike, will open more doors for young Antiguan and Barbudan men and women, in the sport of basketball.
