Metropolitan College of Medicine (MCM) has held its annual White Coat Ceremony, marking the transition of about 45 medical students into the clinical phase of their training.
The event took place on Saturday at the Royalton Hotel, where students from MD1 to MD5 levels were formally coated. Several are already completing clinical rotations at private medical clinics and at Mount St John’s Medical Centre.
The students’ rotations cover key disciplines including paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, family medicine, internal medicine, surgery and psychiatry.
The cohort included around 25 international students from India, Nigeria, the United States and Pakistan, alongside local Antiguan students. Among those coated was Antiguan Jason Mansoor.

The White Coat Ceremony symbolises a commitment to professionalism, ethical practice and patient-centred care as students progress in their medical education.
