The Medical Association of Antigua and Barbuda (MAAB) has extended heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Nurse Orjille Williams-Joseph, whose recent passing has deeply affected the nation’s healthcare community.
In a statement, the association described Nurse Williams-Joseph as a “familiar and beloved figure” within the medical fraternity, especially among those who had worked alongside her in the hospital system.
Although she was not formally involved in the Association’s activities, members recalled her as a nurse who “always carried a smile—often paired with a joke—and maintained a calm, grounded presence even in the midst of clinical chaos.”
Her colleagues remembered her for her kindness, steady hands, and quiet strength—qualities that, according to the MAAB, “left a lasting impression on generations of physicians.”
“The loss of Nurse Williams-Joseph is deeply felt across the wider healthcare community,” the statement continued. “We join in remembering her with gratitude and respect. May she rest in peace.”

Condolences to her family and loved ones
Nurses are a special breed of human. You probably have saved so many lives. I don’t know you personally but I hope if you have children that they will benefit from you good deeds. Condolences to the entire family and the nursing fraternity. RIP
