Matthew off to Chile for Education Summit

Education Minister Daryl S. Matthew and Director of Education Clare Browne are currently on official duty, traveling to Chile for an extraordinary meeting with Ministers of Education from Latin America and the Caribbean.

The gathering, known as “Ministerial of Education: Santiago 2024,” is scheduled for January 25 and 26, 2024.

This event aims to discuss and share experiences in public policies to promote the reactivation, recovery, and transformation of education, serving as catalysts for achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) and addressing education financing.

The potential impact of these discussions extends to 33 countries, impacting approximately 125 million students and 6.9 million teachers.

These meetings are co-organized by CAF Bank, the World Bank, ECLAC, and UNICEF.
