Bowers Rehabilitation Center, formerly known as the Boys Training School in Antigua & Barbuda, was targeted by two masked intruders within 12 hours of its official opening.

The attempted break-in occurred in the early evening, just as staff were leaving the facility.

Eyewitnesses confirmed the disruption but despite the staff intervention, the masked individuals managed to escape the scene before authorities could arrive.

The rehabilitation center, designed to offer cutting-edge resources to those in need, also boasts a range of valuable equipment, including computers and other essentials.

The brazen attempt marks an unexpected setback for the newly inaugurated facility, which had a promising start in Antigua & Barbuda.

  1. You serious?- nah man. Sometimes it’s the same little gangsters inside there call dem friends to do that. Because I read yesterday the place have nuff tings. Tief no wah. I hope they place tight security there.

  2. This is shocking and deeply troubling. The center just opened, and already, it’s facing such setbacks. I hope the authorities act swiftly.

  3. Such a shame that this happened so soon after the center’s opening. Hopefully, the police can find those responsible quickly.

  4. Nothing good can never last in that place… Alot of evil people… What would really drive somebody to this ? A week has even pass since the center has opened.

  5. The fact that this happened so quickly is concerning. I hope the authorities increase security around the center to avoid further incidents.

  6. A new building like that should already have security because people in that country are greedy and don’t like to see nothing good happen/

  7. If it is open shouldn’t there be security already on the premises and as a Skeritt I want to believe all windows and doors should be open only by authorized associates. It’s just amazing how easy it is to commit a crime in Antigua and get away be it night or day, without being caught.

  8. They elements are pushing back they don’t want change they love their juvenile environment parents must be held accountable let’s move it you a notch when parents cannot account for their children make it law that they call the police and report if not when that child breaks the law the parents must be charged for their children breaking the law and these young men needs to be flogged then rehabilitated their minds are flawed at a very early age what ever trauma is motivating their criminal behavior needs to be reached and reset because with age it will get worst if there is no intervention just imagine an institution to help and this is what these punks are doing and they will come again because they are extreme they are already criminals so drop them when they return time to get tough on these little crooks they like it and that is the dangerous mindset
