A man, 34, who was found guilty of raping his 14-year-old cousin and will be sentenced on July 19 by Justice Ann-Marie Smith.
The incident occurred on August 1, 2020, when the accused, then 31 years old, entered the girl’s room and engaged in sexual intercourse with her.

The victim reported the rape four days later after her parents confronted her about leaving the house.
The accused denied the rape allegation, claiming he left the room after noticing the girl was not wearing underwear. Despite his claims, the jury found him guilty.
The sentencing has been postponed to July 19.
