The man who died at the KFC drive-thru on Buckley Line has been identified as Regan Calliste, brother of St. George MP Algernon Watts. Calliste was the former Director of the National Vocational and Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities.

He reportedly collapsed in his car while at the drive-thru speaker. Family members, including MP Watts, were present at the scene.

While the exact cause of death remains unclear, medical officials suggested he may have suffered a cardiac arrest.

  10. Poor health + KFC = SURE DEATH. If the deceased never taught us one darn thing in his life, it should be this! Come outta Dat- long lines craving a taste of unhealthy KFC! Come Inna dis – healthy home cooking using the abundance of local fruits and vegetables.
    RIP, Sir.

  11. Sudden death โ€“ Love and cherish the people around you, you never know when will be the last. I know he was hoping to buy his KFC and head home, but he never got a chance to order never the less taste the kfc

  12. Condolences to the family and while this is indeed sad thereโ€™s a lesson to be learned here โ€“ we must watch what we eat. Too much fat, salt and sugar in our diets, especially without adequate exercise, is detrimental to our health. May God comfort his loved ones

  13. To die in a drive through buying chicken is not a good way at all. I am sorry about this. You leave home to go buy KFC and boom you dead. Waw. I wonder what his family must be feeling now. So sad

  14. The irony of it all. Greasy fried food is a known contributor to heart problems and obesity.
The political class talk: โ€œAi, Ai, Ai.โ€
Maybe the tge Ai proponents and paper PHDs can start using Ai to track the data on chronic deceases and the prevalence of harmful diets on Antigua and Barbuda

A number of lawsuits have been filed against major food manufacturers, alleging that they deliberately engineer and market ultra-processed foods (UPFs) that contribute to chronic diseases, particularly among children.
Any chance of debt relief is dead on arrival; so the ICJ recent decision is nothing but false hope.
No different than the โ€œOff-Gamingโ€ decision. Our Ambassador in DC knows as much.
