ABS-MAN SUSTAINED FIRST-DEGREE BURNS IN HOUSE FIRE

A man was rushed to the hospital with first-degree burns from a house fire in the Ovals area of All Saints Village Monday night.

Officers from the All Saints Fire Department responded to the blaze at 8:30pm and found a 18×32 wooden structure completely engulfed in flames.

The fire officers were able to suppressed the blaze but not before the inferno gutted the wooden structure.

Two occupants of the house were at home at the time of the fire. According to fire officers the injured man had to be alerted that the house was on fire.

Electricity was not attached to the house neither was the structure insured.

Police investigations into the cause of the blaze is ongoing.

  1. Ovals in All Saints Village? I thought Ovals was in Martins Village, just on the outskirts of St. John’s.
    Sorry to hear that someone got injured and pray their recovery will be soon.
    I do hope that this time no arson was involved.

Please understand the nomenclature attach to our community is the former colonial thieves names, probably Massa ovals had a farm in all saints too, and if you check many other Caribbean islands his name may be there too, even in the USA which was a British colony after they murdered the black African indians and took the lands have the same names as some Caribbean islands villages, ethno supremacists prevailed back then so white people was empowered with land resources and the slaves to work there farm, so they had it all over the globe.
