A man has filed a lawsuit against the government, claiming it owes him $135,000 for two vehicles he sold through his former employer, Hadeed Motors.

Dylan Simon says he sold a Nissan X-Trail and a pickup truck to the government but was repeatedly told to return to the Treasury to collect payment. Frustrated by delays, he took legal action.

The case, first filed on 16 November 2022, has faced delays but is scheduled to be heard today in the High Court. Simon is represented by lawyer Warren Cassell.

  1. I am confused. If he sold the vehicles through Hadeed Motors then it is Hadeed Motors who should be paid. Is this the same person who has been tried and is awaiting sentencing for selling Hadeed Motors vehicles without their knowledge? Can ANR give us the proper and correct information?

  2. The truth will eventually show up, being bold with unethical ways seems to be a trend in this country with some large businesses.

  3. Good luck. Getting YOUR money owed to you from the government is like waiting for a snow day in Antigua .

  4. So wait the same man who was charged in the Hadeed Motors fraud case now suing government for money? This whole thing messy bad

  5. Hmm… so he was charged for fraud but still trusted to sell vehicles to the government? That alone raise eyebrows

  6. Boy Antigua sweet everybody suing everybody. Treasury always broke till is time to collect what people work fo

  7. Antigua is currently a comedy, wonder if this one is from Tyler Perry Studios. Everybody is trying to get even in the middle of a government “skin out” according to incarcerated mongoose. Guess many people has to appear before the court and the prison gates. Speaking of Baba. Where is he in the mess? Oh I forgot, he’s out of state! Shine the light on the government, they know who they placed to do their dirty work. This one is just a failed operation

  8. Only in Antigua, the man charged for fraud is now suing the government for not paying him. You can’t make this stuff up.

  9. This sounds very confusing. If he worked for the company how is it that is HE the government owning? Shouldn’t it be the company? Help

  10. So you be charged for fraud and then you come back and sue government. Land of the fraudsters, the brave and the free………….

  11. So did Adolf 2.0 pardon the woman’s involvement in the bobol because she was forthcoming? Seems to me like they’re all building castles with poor people money and have the same poor people picketing for a meager Social security payout. When will the citizenry stop fawning over the corrupt for scraps while they live like kings? We want justice. We want our money back in the accounts and we want the vehicles seized and auctioned. Adolf 2.0 won’t though, because loved ones are implicated.

  12. With the Black Hadeed having a free hand, this possibly a small part of Hadeed “shadow sales”, and should be investigated.
