Police Investigating Shooting Incident in Sanderson Estate

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Thursday, October 2, 2025

The police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at Sanderson Estate on Wednesday morning, October 1, 2025, at approximately 9:55 a.m.

Initial reports indicate that a 32-year-old man of All Saints was on his family’s farm when an altercation ensued between himself, a family member and two other people.

During the confrontation, two men were shot. One man received a gunshot wound to his head, while the other was shot in the abdomen and leg.

They were both transported by ambulance to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center, where they are being treated for their injuries. Doctors at the time reported that the victims’ conditions are pending further medical assessments.

Two men are in police custody assisting with the ongoing investigation.

The Police Administration is appealing to members of the public to refrain from resorting to violence when resolving disputes. Conflicts should be addressed peacefully and through lawful means. Violence not only endangers lives but also undermines the safety and security of our communities.

  1. I hope the shooter called Gaston for advice about the firearm before turning in himself to the police.
    Well he didn’t need new advice.
    All he had to do was to ditch the firearm.
    That’s too hot to hand over.

  2. Let us have stricter gun control regulations to protect the innocent. It is obvious that some are not mature enough to exercise emotional self control.
