Man Robbed at ATM in Jolly Harbour

A man was robbed at an ATM in Jolly Harbour on Monday, in what appears to have been a coordinated theft involving three women.

The incident occurred shortly after the victim walked from Jolly Beach Hotel to the commercial centre in Jolly Harbour to withdraw cash. As he approached the ATM, three women converged on the machine while a security guard stood about 25 feet away.

The group included a white woman in her mid-60s with grey hair, a slim black woman in her 40s with an English accent and a gold front tooth, and a younger black woman in her 20s.

The two older women distracted the man by asking about local restaurants and requesting cash for a taxi fare to the airport. As the cash was dispensed, the younger woman allegedly took the money without the man noticing.

When the victim realised his card had been returned but no money dispensed, he reported the incident to Jolly Harbour security. CCTV footage reportedly confirmed the theft, showing the younger woman taking the cash while the man was engaged in conversation with the others.

Security staff did not share the video but confirmed witnessing the act on camera. The victim said the amount stolen was small.

The incident has prompted calls for Jolly Harbour security to alert the community more promptly when crimes occur in the area.
