A 24-year-old man has been remanded to prison in Antigua and Barbuda in connection with the death of a young woman from Guyana.
Victor Ince of Lightfoot West appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel on Wednesday to answer charges of unlawful confinement and killing in the death of 19-year-old Joyleen Abraham.

The incident took place on 7 May in the Judges Estate area. Police say Abraham was ejected from a moving vehicle driven by Ince and was found with multiple injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 6:30pm.

Abraham had reportedly arrived on the island just days before her death. Ince is expected to return to court on 17 September.

  2. Years ago I remember a Spanish woman either jumped out or got pushed out of a moving pickup truck a morning when I was in my way to school. It was somewhere along all saints road not too far past midway gas station . Never saw that on the news .

  4. Such a sad event. Gonna be his word against who in court? And he might forever maintain that she jumped out of the moving vehicle in anger. Who you associate with is so important. It can be a life and death decision.

  5. Alas. Poor girl. Somebody did that to this girl? She never jumped. She was killed and thrown away. How can anyone be so cruel

  6. We need to call for justice for this child. In that I mean we have to march the streets for those who have been murdered without their killers ever being found. As a mother, it is crucial that those responsible for her unlawful confinement and murder are held accountable. We must come together to support her family during this difficult time and advocate for a thorough and transparent investigation. Justice for Joyleen is not just about legal consequences; it’s about honoring her memory and ensuring that such a tragedy never happens again. Let’s raise our voices and demand justice for Joyleen Abraham.

  7. So she left her country to come and see you and you decide to kill her? This boy should rot in jail! For the crime and for the lie

  8. Well well! Thought he’d gladly get away with murder? Nobody would believe a lie sir! And the autopsy had to be done

  9. I don’t know who wrote this crap. She was not ejected from the vehicle as this states. He claims she jumped. She did not have multiple injuries. All the injuries were to the head. I was in the court for this matter. And as far as I heard it is manslaughter. If she jumped as he claimed then she must have feared for her life to have jumped from a speeding car. If she jumped she would have injuries.

  10. How come when the public speaks out about the Chantell case, we are ” influencing the case”, but when we speak out about other crimes such as these, not even a crackle?

When will these cases be brought to court? The Longer these cases take to conclude, more chances these killers have to walk free.

Justice in Antigua is a joke under this current administration.

    We need better, way better.
