Man Kills Partner, Then Dies by Suicide in Marigot
Authorities in Dominica are investigating a tragic murder-suicide in the village of Marigot, where a 29-year-old man killed his partner and later took his own life.
Police say Artie Nixon fatally attacked 42-year-old Daniella Nasha Fontaine, also of Marigot, in the early hours of Friday morning.
Shockingly, Nixon recorded the killing and shared the footage on social media, prompting widespread outrage and distress.
Following the incident, Nixon reportedly ingested a toxic substance and was transported to the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital for emergency treatment.
He died around 9:30am on Sunday.
Fontaine’s body was discovered at the scene and officially pronounced dead by a district medical officer. Investigations are ongoing.
