Man Found Guilty For Stealing Hurricane Relief Items

Everton Waldron was found guilty of larceny after he stole EC $20,205.79 in items from the National Office of Disaster Services (NODS).

The 50 year old of Bolans Village was charged with Larceny of a quantity of food and household items, the property of NODS as well as charged with receiving the same items knowing that they were stolen in January 2018.

Dion Browne of All Saints was also charged with Larceny of a quantity of food and household items, the property of NODS, valued at EC $3,105.20. He was further charged with Receiving of the said items, knowing them to have been stolen.

Browne was employed at NODS as a Relief Manager and Everton Waldron was employed as a Driver.

Browne was also found guilty and was sentenced some time prior in the Magistrate’s Court.

Waldron will hear his sentence on April 6.
