Man Denies Marriage Fraud Allegations
A man has strongly denied claims made by his estranged wife that he plans to marry in Antigua and Barbuda while still legally wed to her.
The accusations were made in a recent interview titled Marriage Fraud Alert, during which a medical doctor alleged that her husband was preparing for a new wedding despite their unresolved marriage.
In a letter, the man described the allegations as “exaggerated and largely fabricated,” and accused his estranged wife of being “manipulative, deceptive, and controlling.”
He said they have been separated for over a year and claimed he would welcome a divorce. “If she were to file for divorce, I would not oppose; in fact, I would be extremely happy,” he wrote.
Dismissing the accusations as baseless, he said, “I am not engaged to anyone at this time, let alone have an impending wedding set for the next three months.” He also denied any intent to violate bigamy laws.
The man alleged he had received threatening messages from his estranged wife, warning of reputational damage and psychological harm. “My wife is abusive, and I had to run away from her,” he claimed, without providing further details.

Just reads like a soap opera. The law is clear, if the grounds for divorce is separation. One party simply files stating its due to separation for atheist a year. The other party need not sign agreement just acknowledge receipt that they have been notified of the filing for divorce. These matters are handled quickly unless the other party plans to contest the divorce.

Wow wow wow. I don’t want to say too much. But I was in a relationship with the said individual and I went through the same episode. I had to run for my life. Everything that happened between us he would run to his sisters and mother. While in a relationship with me we decided to buy a house. Few months after we broke up. This man is telling the world that my house that I took my house to build belongs to him. One day he came to my house quarrelling saying he wants his money he gave me. I also had a lot of defamatory text messages from his sisters who currently resides in the Us. Sorry wifey. I feel your pain. I went through similar situation with him. I hope you find peace

I am a close friend to this said family, and it’s really a shame, that it has come to this. This marriage was a huge mistake from the beginning. This young lady, has been a terror to everyone in this man’s life, it seems like she wants to get rid off every family, every friend, I mean everyone around him. He has lost his jobs, from this woman writing emails to his work if of
place, even his landlord, just fabricating stories upon stories, just to destroy him. I know this guy is a quiet person, but he needs to stand up to this woman, for once . Enough is enough! When I heard of the marriage all the way from Dominica, and knowing who you were and you choose that lady to marry, all I could say, is that she had to tie you. Your wedding pictures proved to everyone that this is not really what you wanted. You looked lost, not one single member off your family members attended, that should have been a sign. Your father past away while you where in Trinidad, and I heard she commented to your mother, that the man is already dead, this devil prevented you from going to your father’s funeral. This divorce need to be done asap, young man, stop allowing this lady to walk over you, it is time to put your foot down!
