
Police are investigating an early-morning robbery on Fort Road in which a man was beaten and robbed near Percival’s Service Station.
The incident happened around 4:15 a.m. on Thursday, when two men reportedly attacked the victim as he walked along the road. They took his mobile phone and an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot.
The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment. A police search failed to locate the suspects, and investigations continue.
