Magnum Tonic Wine in partnership with local distributor Hutchinson Antigua Limited, has donated COVID 19-care packages including boxes of product and sanitization supplies to bar owners in Antigua, who have been severely affected by the pandemic.
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought waves of misfortune throughout the region and though some countries are inching closer to some form of ‘normalcy’, most are still grappling with the effects of the global pandemic.
The brand’s Regional Marketing Manager, Kamal Powell, shared that the Magnum team was quick to step in and offer assistance.
“It’s one thing to say we are a united Caribbean family, it’s another thing to show unity when our brothers and sisters need help. We are aware of the challenges faced across the region, so our team worked closely with the distributor to identify key customers who are severely impacted by the pandemic- and we did so swiftly. I must offer props to the team for following through and doing so effectively,” he said.
Manager of Wines and Spirits at Hutchinson Antigua Limited, Siman Jallow, shared that having a direct relationship with the customers aided the selection.
“We operate like a business family here, so I know each customer personally. Because of that I knew which operators would need the help to get their business afloat. Magnum, thanks for stepping in and making this handover possible,” he added.
Magnum is regionally integrated into Caribbean culture and maintains a fruitful relationship with the territories. Last year the brand made similar donations to Belize, Trinidad and St. Lucia among other countries in the region.
