Mace Bill Bans Aliens from Third World Countries from Entering the United States
Today, Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) introduced the Third World Immigration Moratorium Act, slamming the door shut and banning aliens from dozens of third world countries from entering the United States. Many of these nations have repeatedly refused to cooperate with U.S. deportation orders, failed to provide basic vetting information on their own citizens, and left American communities to bear the consequences.
These are not countries who have earned the privilege of access to the United States. Many of these are state sponsors of terror, hostile regimes, and failed states with a proven track record of exporting violence and instability to American soil.
“The American people are done playing games and so are we. For too long, Washington has looked the other way while bad actors exploited every gap in our system and American families paid the price. Those days are over,” said Congresswoman Mace. “If you import the third world, you will become the third world. This bill makes crystal clear: entry into the United States is a privilege, not a right. We make absolutely no apologies for defending it.”
The legislation prohibits entry of aliens from the following countries, which align directly with President Trump’s Proclamation, Restricting and Limiting the Entry of Foreign Nationals to Protect the Security of the United States:
Afghanistan, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burma, Burundi, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Cuba, Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Gabon, Gambia, Haiti, Iran, Laos, Libya, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Togo, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Venezuela, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and aliens with travel documents issued by the Palestinian Authority.
Targeted exceptions are preserved for lawful permanent residents; dual nationals from non-designated countries; diplomatic and NATO treaty personnel; athletes competing in the World Cup, Olympics, or other major international sporting events; special immigrant visa holders, including those who served alongside U.S. forces; and individuals fleeing documented ethnic and religious persecution in Iran. The Secretary of Homeland Security retains discretionary waiver authority when entry serves a verified critical national interest.
“We are not a dumping ground for the third world’s problems. This bill is a straightforward solution to keep dangerous aliens out and send a message to every country on this list: the free ride is over,” Mace added.
The Third World Immigration Moratorium Act requires the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Attorney General, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Director of National Intelligence, to report to Congress every 180 days on whether the prohibitions should be continued, modified, or expanded.

Congress woman Nancy Mace’s use of this inventive language is wholly offensive to those of us that prefer constructive dialogue rather than decisive language.
Our own Prime Minister has been using divisive invective language since coming to power since 2014. He’s the master of it, especially against those who oppose his political viewpoint at home.
Maybe now is the time to use it in the right context against those who openly wants to cause people of colour economic harm and destitution.

TIME TO STEP UP…
“Mighty Shanty” Edwards should be given a knighthood for the truthfulness of his calypso sung so many years ago, “Anything happen anywhere – around the world – bet yuh life we in dey”. It is quite unfortunate that we find ourselves in this when hardly any other Caribbean country other than Dominica- and the expected Haiti, Cuba- is on this list. It shows that Antigua and Barbuda is seen as a small rouge nation or perhaps a failed state and the question must be asked WHY?? For years some have tried to tell anyone who would listen that we would end up this way. That is why we felt compelled to write when actions like: selling people boat; forever open door policy; selling passports like they are Brownie bread; populating the country with “whosoever will may come” people; giving our passports to investors to do whatever they want with them, “duped” trafficking of African migrants, “bruking” the treasury to win an election etc, clearly showed that there would be a steep price to pay down the road.
In a recent conversation the question was asked, how many Jamaicans, Santo Domingans(as we call them), Guyanese, Syrians, etc have gotten our passports and since headed to the US, Canada, Europe etc? The sad thing is, we ourselves don’t know! However, if I were an immigration official in those countries, why would I not wonder and ask, “what is going on in that country?” Considering that this has gone on for so many years, why is it unreasonable for anyone to think our country is just an officially sanctioned stepping stone for immigrants to enter other countries?! I read Ron Saunders defense but, what really sets us apart from those so called, “failed states “? and, why are Barbados, St Vincent, St Kitts, St Lucia etc not on that list? That is because, we longed believed that we could just bluff our way around, or as we say, “we feel we smart” and continue to do what is politically and financially beneficial to politicians, with some to be doled out at elections.
We should have listened to Mighty Shanty and others years ago and I am sure we would not be here now. However, it’s time to change course Antigua and Barbuda and as hard as it may appear to be, start cleaning up our act. SERIOUSLY!!.

Respectfully, as a black man the grew up abroad, frankly I get tired of defending us black people. I grew up in a multi cultural setting and I mean multi. My parents sent me to a school that had a minimum of 5 kids from the majority of countries around the world. To be honest, and I known some people don’t want to hear this, but ” they are tired of us”.
As a culture we are savage toward each other, we smile with fake respect to white people, we can be very preditorial, and most of all very few of us are comfortable in our own skin. Some blacks with money want to flaunt it, these are the worst ones and the ones bring us down. Never mind the ones that make quick hustle money by taking advantage of their own people. This is what they see and profit off of at the detriment of our people. We dont love or respect each other, and they all see it as we know and live it.
They are other factors that have lead us to this point. The media influences us from a young age, now more than ever. Our leaders are so compromised that their hands are completely tied. We are easily corrupted by bright and shiny things just to name a few. It is mind blowing how our governments past and present cannot manage to take care of a 120,000 people. Not 30,000,000 not 15,000,000, not 1,000,000 but a 120,000 people, a football stadium. Now make that make sense for me please.
As I said ” they are tired of us”. The sad part is we just keep blaming others. We give fuel to those who are looking to destroy us, and we are not taking any resposibilty for doing so. We are strong, bright and have contributed the most to develop this world. We need to stand up together and be proud of that. We lead in so many categories including the sciences, the legal field, and ground breaking initiatives. Something we need to encourage and support, like we do athletics of which I am a big fan. We are a gifted race, we need to follow our true destiny and lead as we did in the beginning of time. We will out last all other if we get together.

I feel your pain. But I have a broader view. I think we have placed ourselves between a rock and a hard place.
The Prime Minister recently proudly announced that we have the second highest level of engagement at the UN.
We have more friends and have established bilateral relations at The UN with Countries at a level that only one other country has.
I’m assuming the few countries with which we don’t have bilateral relations simple has no such interest.

Trump has to put the squeeze on Venezuela for several reasons.
First they need to continue to rob Venezuela of its wealth and minerals. Further Venezuela has a lot of criminal gangs. And so does Trinidad and Jamaica.
Trinidad and Jamaica does not have CIP. It took an American businesswoman over ten years to get her Jamaican Citizenship.
Jamaicans thought she was crazy when they want US passport and she worked so long and hard to get a Jamaican passport.
