Antiguan entertainer LyricKsMan of LSA Entertainment has hailed the knighting of the legendary Burning Flames as a historic moment for Antigua and Barbuda, calling it both a personal and national triumph.

The soca icon expressed heartfelt congratulations to Sir Oungku, Sir Onyan, Sir Bubbi, and Sir Foxx, who were knighted during the 44th Anniversary of Independence celebrations on November 3, 2025.

“This is more than just an award — it’s a national moment of truth,” LyricKsMan said in a statement.

“After four decades of setting stages ablaze, shaping our identity, and lifting our flag through music, these legends have finally received the honour they have long deserved.”

He described the group’s influence as deeply personal, recalling how their rhythms and lyrics shaped his musical journey from childhood. “Since the age of three, Burning Flames has been my band.

Their rhythms raised me, their lyrics taught me, their energy inspired me. From the very first time I heard that infectious beat, I knew music would be my destiny,” he said.

LyricKsMan credited Burning Flames’ lead singer, Sir Oungku, as his “musical father” and “mentor from afar,” praising his creativity and passion for keeping Antiguan soca vibrant.

“Every time I perform one of their classics, I’m not just singing — I’m paying tribute,” he said. “Their knighthood is not only a crown for the band but a symbol for every musician, dreamer, and islander who ever dared to rise from humble beginnings.”

Calling the band “pioneers, teachers, and patriots,” he added that their contribution went beyond music, representing Antigua and Barbuda across the region and instilling pride in generations.

“To Sir Oungku, Sir Onyan, Sir Bubbi, and Sir Foxx — thank you for your sacrifice, your talent, your courage, and your consistency,” LyricKsMan said. “You are proof that when passion meets purpose, the world must listen.”

He ended his tribute with a rallying call: “Long live Burning Flames. Long live Antiguan music. Long live JAM BAND — the fire that never out!”
