Leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Harold Lovell, reveals that his Christmas wish is for the spirit of Christmas to reside among Antiguans even after the holiday season has passed.
He explains the spirit of Christmas, saying, “when the spirit of Christmas, as it was intended to be a season of peace and goodwill, is present among us “.
Lovell also extended well wishes specifically for the people of Barbuda.
“To the people of Barbuda, I convey extra special greetings and wishes for a family-centered and blessed holiday season as you continue to reclaim and rebuild your community “.
He concluded his message with expressions of gratitude to all UPP supporters and requests that God continues to use the UPP to redeem the nation.

Dear Harold ‘Banging Post’ Lovell not even Santa can help u with your dream of becoming Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda. U can write letters, text, e-mail, fax or send post cards that Christmas wish is beyond Santa. Harry please just retire ride off into the sunset and give some young fresh blood the chance to revive ghe UPP cause as long as your are there the UPP will NEVER be the government of Antigua and Barbuda again.

Harold is a very nice Person but for some reason I have been noticing that whenever Harold name appears on ANTIGUA NEWS ROOM the NEGATIVE comments go CRAZY. JAMAL PRINGLE where are you? You are the Leader of the Opposition, yet this jellyfish continues to rob you of your rightful place and steal your spotlight. Mr. Romantic Rhythms needs to do some cardiovascular exercise for at least 30 minutes 5 days a week.
Jamal Pringle is the LEADER of the Opposition, not Harry Lovell.
TWO LEADERSHIP POSITIONS – ORGANIZATIONAL AND PARLIAMENTARY
These are not areas of expertise and ‘…likes’ for my comments.
If it will help someone to understand the respective positions of these two honourable gentle, then here it is. They hold a ‘…separate and distinct position.’
For instance, (i) …As far as ‘…Organizational Leadership’ (elected by membership) is concerned, Harold Lovell holds that position. Such position is at the ‘…pleasure of the membership of his organization,’ (changed only at Leadership Conventions).
(ii) …As far as ‘…Parliamentary Leadership’ (elected by voters) is concerned, Jamal Pringle is the ‘…Leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition’ (changed only by the electorate at General Elections).
His loyalty is held and strengthened by subscribing to the ‘…Oath of Allegiance.’
While Harold Lovell (organizational leader) may determine who may speak to the membership in ‘…an organizational meeting’ called and/or convened by him, ‘ONLY’ Jamal Pringle would be recognized by the House Speaker to address him or the Parliamentary membership.
Thus, as ‘…an elected member of parliament,’ he has the ‘…parliamentary privilege’ and may speak as the issues demands or his conscience dictates.

That’s a very nice explanation, HOWEVER the only reason Lovell is NOT the Leader of the Opposition is because his leadership was rejected by the People in a fair election. The man has been kicked to the curb so many times now that it is getting to be an embarrassment. Jamal Pringle is the Leader of the Opposition. Lovell is not.
This the FIRST I am speaking out to share my feelings about my POLITICAL PARTY ( UPP ).The 2020 is fast approaching. I am appealing to the Members and EXECUTIVES of UPP please Let Us clean our Party from the inside if We would like a chance of forming the next Government. You Guys are correct. Honestly I like a STRONG Opposition . I cannot honestly see a Strong Opposition in Antigua for A long long time. When ELECTION is called I do not see the UPP has the CAPACITY to stop GASTON BROWNE BIG RED MACHINE. Our Prime Minister knows when to call election. He is a MASTER STRATEGIST.

Does Jamal Pringle go to Parliament ? His seat in Parliament is always empty. I heard that Jamal Pringle and Trevor Walker DO NOT get along. Therefore, there is OPPOSITION within the OPPOSITION. I can see BIG problems for the UPP going into the next election. Trevor Walker believes that He should be the Leader of the OPPOSITION in Parliament because He is more INTELLIGENT/ more EXPERIENCED / LONGER SERVING. FRANKLY speaking We only have an OPPOSITION on paper but very INACTIVE.Lots of work to be done by the UPP. Sad moment.
Maybe you’re right. I never see them conversing in Parliament. But Trevor may be correct. Pringle is an embarassment. His school teachers must cringe when they hear him speak. I believe his girlfriend is also a teacher. Maybe she can give him private lessons.

Let Us hope that Jamal Pringle still has the ability to learn . I cut Him some slack when Parliament started 2018 because He was a New Face facing Those Veterans from the ABLP. I believe Jamal Pringle has gotten worse. Harold Lovell and Gisel Isaac must HOLD Their breath whenever He speaks in Parliament. Do not worry ABLP will take back that SEAT in 2023.

In the next couple of months We shall reach out to you to let you know our support and plans We have outlined for ELECTION 2023 . Although We are out of Island at the moment attending University We are following all the news and media outlets in Antigua and Barbuda. We have come to the conclusion that You are the best Person together with the ABLP to move Antigua forward. We are following all the other Media outlets and all what We are hearing is NON SENSE / RHETORIC. There is NO political alternative in Antigua . Sir, You will be the Prime Minister for many many more years if you so desire. We have developed a MOVEMENT called ” UNIVERSITY STUDENTS FOR HON.GASTON BROWNE 2023.”
