Lovell Says All Saints West MP is sleeping on the job,
as clinic has been closed for 841 days
Harold Lovell, United Progressive Party (UPP) Caretaker for All Saints West, has called out the sitting Member of Parliament and the Browne Administration for their failure to restore public-health services in the constituency – a failure that has now stretched to an alarming 841 days.
On April 23, 2023, the Ministry of Health announced the “temporary” relocation of services from the All Saints Health Centre to the Glanvilles Polyclinic. Residents were promised transportation and assured that repairs were underway.

“Today, almost two and a half years later, there’s still no reopening date – and the people of All Saints West are paying the price,” Lovell says. “Elderly residents, parents with young children, and those without reliable transportation are being forced to travel long distances for basic healthcare. This is not just inconvenient; it is dangerous.”
Lovell stresses that the absence of a clinic in a constituency of this size is unacceptable and represents both the Administration’s failure and neglect by the elected representative.
“The MP for All Saints West has been sleeping on the job,” Lovell charges. “He has failed to stand up for his constituents and hold the Government accountable. It should not take 841 days and counting to restore such an essential service.”
Lovell is demanding immediate action from the Ministry of Health – whether through the reopening of the All Saints Health Clinic, deployment of mobile clinics, or the establishment of a permanent replacement.
“Public-health infrastructure is not a privilege; it is a right,” Lovell points out. “The people of All Saints West deserve answers, a clear timeline, and leadership that actually works for us. Our health cannot wait another day.”

I’m so glad that the Honourable Harold Lovell has hit the ground running in exposing Anthony Smith’s lack of action.
How on earth has this former UPP deserter allowed an important health clinic to stay closed for over two years? Scandalous!!!
Harold Lovell’s political strength has always been exposing the weakness of his ABLP opponents, and even more so now, due to the fact he has inner knowledge about the defector in chief and turncoat Anthony ‘Pieces of Eight’ Smith.
Harold Lovell’s REDIVIVUS return is going to show the ABLP that you cannot keep an upright, honest and outstanding politician out of the limelight for long – he’s without doubt the best Prime Minister Antigua have NEVER had!
The best political news of 2025 so far …
Jurassic Park outta order to let Limpy Joe get way
With The Hon. Gentleman back you are going to see things pick up pace in that constituency. They fraid he too bad no matter what they say. That is the power of the MAN, Thieving will not always work

Wrong message m.
Anthony Smith is both the Minister of Health.
Attack The Prime Minister and The Minister of Health for lack of a functioning health clinic.
To attack Smith as an independent politician now, is also to attack Smith as a UPP member and leader.
What Harold needs to do is investigate what it takes to fast track the renovation. Then make a case that if he and UPP is elected it will be done on what ever the fast track schedule says.
It’s a win-win for him in that it could forced the ABLP to complete the work to show they can do it to.
Should that happen then Lovell can take credit for getting them to finish the work and reopen the clinic.

So Harold as a constituent of All Saints West, is now you want to run you know that the client close. This alone can tell that you were never interested in the people of All Saints wellbeing.
We need people that care all the time for people. Not when they are interested in running for politics. So I guess you will be attending funerals and graduations as well.
Anyhow hope you put up a good fight and force the governor to do some serious infrastructure work in All Saints West.
Frankly Speaking, I keep wondering why people like you continue to make comments all you do is expose your ignorance. That’s why we are where we are. Gosh!
It’s been closed for way too long, I’ve noticed a lot of out public healthcare being neglect which is just isn’t right, especially something so important as healthcare if you look at our public infrastructure it’s just sad.
@ SO LONG…………
Who Smith is an independent politician?
He is independent financially by $6,000,000.00 dollars and the give away of our chance to GET THE RID OF THE LABA PARTY.
Any attempt by this old geezer to usurp the authority, presence or position of the HON. LARS JAMALE PRINGLE will be met with pushback. Know Your place Harold. You already resigned and handed over the reigns to the HON. LARS JAMALE PRINGLE to lead the UPP. He is doing a fine job and does not need any attempt to overshadow or undermine his steady leadership.
He carried the UPP on his back as the Lone MP in Parliament for many years, when you lost your seat for the umpteenth time. The people want a real GRASSROOTS leader and they have that in the HON. LARS JAMALE PRINGLE!!
STAND DOWN.
841 Days — Where’s Our Clinic?
In April 2023, the government said the All Saints Health Center closure was temporary. They promised repairs. They promised our services would be back.
841 days later, the doors are still shut. No timeline. No answers. No urgency.
Meanwhile, residents are travelling miles for basic care. Emergencies are riskier. The elderly and disabled are struggling. Families are paying more just to see a nurse or doctor. This is not “temporary” — it’s neglect.
The people of All Saints West deserve better. Harold Lovell is demanding the truth and fighting for the healthcare we were promised. Enough excuses. Enough delays.
Our health can’t wait.

@ V for Vendetta you sound like many in the leadership hierarchy of the UPP that your LARS JAMALE PRINGLE deserved to be leader of the Party because he was the lone MP for years (Single PRINGLE as was affectionately said). It is that myopic and dunce thinking of many in the Party, even some who are supposed to be educated and schooled in politics, that has brought the Party to this very sorry pass.
Well highlighted Natasha 👏🏾
These politicians don’t care one jot about any of us here who have to rely on Antigua’s current health service, because when any of them take sick, they simply travel abroad for topnotch treatment leaving the rest of us to fend for ourselves.
Terrible set ah people …
Here we go trying to be relevant. So before that he didn’t have anything to talk about?
I can’t wait for election to see the beating that idiot gonna get
Fix the clinic so it can be reopened and serving the people because as the saying goes, “Health is wealth” -then see what the opposition is going to bray about next.
