Opposition politician Harold Lovell has congratulated Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley on her decisive election victory and third term in office.

In a public statement, Lovell said the outcome reflected the clear will of the Barbadian electorate and renewed confidence in Mottley’s leadership.

“Congratulations to Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley on her decisive victory and third term of office in Barbados,” Lovell said.

He also highlighted their shared professional background, noting that both were called to the Bar at Middle Temple, Inns of Court, nearly 40 years ago.

“We share the unique honour of being called to the Bar at Middle Temple, Inns of Court, almost 40 years ago. Since then, she has distinguished herself through a remarkable journey of leadership and service to her country and the wider Caribbean,” he said.

Lovell added that voters had reaffirmed their support for her leadership and national development agenda.

“The people of Barbados have spoken clearly, reaffirming their confidence in her visionary leadership and commitment to national development,” he stated.

He concluded by wishing Mottley continued success in advancing Barbados and the wider Caribbean.

  1. Amazing photo, and congratulations to PM Motley on another 30 – 0 landslide 3-peat. Not even Sir Vere was able to accomplish that.

  2. As Antiguans, we often like to compare, and put ourselves in the same class as, but you could’ve at least find a different picture, or just go photo less. Yes! they both attended the same UNI, and graduated together, but looking at the achievements, accomplishment and success presently, and throughout both their lives, Lovell has been left far behind.

  3. @Carvaa

The gall of you useful idiots.

Up to the time u hear your ‘tiefing’ PM admit he constantly steal elections by transferring voters to gain an advantage over the opposition and deny Lovell a seat constantly, BUT GOD IS NOT SLEEPING, for as sure as there is a judgement ALL WILL BE EXPOSED. Time longer than rope.

  4. Carvaa has always remind me no one should ever waste their school days. As the saying goes a mind is a terrible thing to waste. A sitting Prime Minister said on radio that he has transferred voters to certain constituencies to gain an advantage which tells me that Lovell has fallen victim to that and Carvaa isn’t even concerned about that. Super idiot

Both of them well educated and intelligent. That is where the comparison ends.
Mia doesn’t fraid nobody. She tell it as it is.

Not lovely Lovell. He is too f—ing coward. He worry too much about what people think and how he look. He not serious.

He should just retire again and go back to his favorite full time sport, running the cutchy.

  6. Why don’t you guys give it up? How many times Lovell ran in an election, and am talking even before Gaston, became PM? I kept hearing the same statement over and over, “Gaston said he transferred voters” did this happened to Lovell in every election? Compare to the Honorable Mottley, Lovell is a looser, and will loose again even though he switch constituency, but the sad thing is, this time he will be stamped out by a young man who’s career in politics began just a few years ago. The UPP may duplicate this same voters transfer after winning the next election, and return to governance. Good luck.
