The length of the suspension was not immediately clear, but the Facebook page has not been updated in the last 24 hours.

Sites that are suspended by Facebook are unable to create new posts until the suspension is lifted.

Although not confirmed, it is believed that the suspension stemmed from the posting of a video showing an animal being abused.

The video was posted by the online news site’s Facebook page earlier this week and shared more than 200 times.

According to Facebook, videos showing cruelty to animals fall outside of its community standards.
