  1. I can virtually visualise many of us hiding under our covers when these heinous crimes are mentioned. This brave Parliamentarian is dealing with the elephant in room on the sexual abuse and physical harms that go on right here in Antigua.

Talk to anyone, friends, family (or even the church) and even neighbours about the abuse being acted out on Antiguan children, and the conversation soon dries up and done.

We don’t want to address or admit that there’s a massive problem here with adults troubling our children – especially girls.

More power to MP Turner. This has been an issue for decades now, and it seems that someone who can do something is going to do so.

  2. … and the fact that there’s hardly any comments on this serious subject tells me that we Antiguans don’t want tackle this head-on.

  3. This all started during the days of the BRUCK FOOT INDUSTRY, young women and girls in their teens used to complain about the ordeal they went through with those awful influential men power

  4. This is so emotional. Mr Turner. All i can say is that you were given that ministry for a reason. Sad state of affairs in Antigua. Never knew it was so heavy.

  5. @ Swimming with the sharks
Do you realize the CHECK U MINISTER for work is what started the BRUCK FOOT INDUSTRY. In those days I used to work for a Newspaper and heard a young lady spoke of an ordeal she went through with 2 ministers of government and still did not get a job, it moved me to tears. Hope ANR carries this to save others
