St. Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Dr Godwin Friday has expressed surprise that the US announced a proclamation to restrict travel to the US by Dominicans and Antiguans effective January 1, 2O26.
Dr Friday says both countries cooperated with the US and European Union to effect changes to their Citizenship by Investment programs.
He told a radio program in St. Vincent that the US decision does not signal the end of the CBI program.

I think that it is safe to say that the US and EU do not want the Caribbean to move ahead.
We give them exactly what they wanted and all of a sudden its not enough. It’s never going to be enough.
They took away and will try to take away any forms of revenue coming in.
To me, it’s not about CIP. They see that CIP, online gaming, and off shore banking brings in revenue, and that does not sit well with them. What’s next? They will try to take away tourism but placing travel advisories?
If it really were about CIP, they would impose visa restrictions on those passports obtained through the CIP program.
But watch and see……it’s never going to be enough. They will keep asking and demanding until we are back under their thumbs.
I recognize the paternalistic behavior of larger countries, but don’t fool me on this one, we had lee malvo who got an Antigua passport through cutie Benjamin and become the DC sniper which to lives.
When Gaston and them go middle east to sell passports don’t you believe it is purpose? These guys who wants to get back at the USA for revenge will pay these politicians big monies to even put new name and identity in these passports , so now the larger countries are countering with biometrics, so even though the politicians give them new names they can pin point their true identity, you know how much deportee are criminal Jamaicans and white people get our passports and just leave for the USA or Canada and england? When Antiguan go the USA we get bad treatment because our accent is close to the Jamaican.

@ekdreal Did a Jamaican tek whe you woman.? Malvo was 25 years ago . I challenge you to name one Jamaican deportee who bought an Antiguan passport to regain entry to America. You do not have visa free entry to the US, people still have to apply, How does a deportee apply for a visa?
I have lived in US for many years, Once we Jamaican are following the law, there is no problem. In fact since you claim the Antiguan accent is close to Jamaica, that will be a bonus, because Jamaicans get high rating here .
