LISTEN: PM says suspect in Villa robbery in custody after firing at police
Prime Minister Gaston Browne says one suspect linked to a robbery in Villa is in police custody after firing shots at officers during an encounter in the community.
Speaking on the Browne and Browne radio programme on Pointe FM over the weekend, Browne said police engaged two masked suspects during an operation. One suspect fired at officers, who returned fire. The suspect was later apprehended, while a second individual remains at large.
The prime minister said police believe the suspects may be connected to a series of recent robberies and confirmed that law enforcement is actively pursuing the second individual.
Browne praised the police response and urged residents to remain vigilant, while assuring the public that security forces are working to contain criminal activity and protect communities.

Organize another football match. Your chickens are coming home to roost. They might be firing at you soon too!
Who taught their parents by giving them guns and now the parents children don’t give a damn about you nor anyone?
Did you think that they were going to toss the guns overboard at deep water harbour?
Arrests don’t mean jack shit without conviction and serving serious time. And please don’t talk no rehabilitation crap because you don’t have the systems in place to deal with such in a wholesome holistic manner that will make sense in the long run.
Your chickens are coming home to roost.
Firing a Gun at someone should be considered attempted murder. I hope they are locked away from a sensible amount of time. They need to be made an example of for the other criminals roaming the streets.
