  8. I think that every citizen of Antigua and Barbuda, regardless of position or status, they have a right to an opinion which can be shared. If the Right Honourable VC Bird was alive, no one could silence him. No body can chat like Papa Bird. If The Right Honourable Lester Bird was alive, he would be quite vocal on some issues and no one could stop him. Viv Richards has a right to an opinion and position and as a most prominent citizen, airing it was his fiduciary right. He loves Antigua and Barbuda and want to see good for the country. He was not by any means being personal. The attack which followed on him about his personal business, failed undertakings at Crawl Bay, and foundation where only grass and cassie trees are growing, monies owed etc, was regrettable and unfortunate. Never before have i seen anyone holding a National Hero hostage in this manner. Shut your mouth Viv Richards or else. I am ashamed and embarrassed to say the least.

One spoke of Papa Bird and Sir Lester Bird two greats who were political just by name alone, politics is what they do, so of course they would have spoke out and would have been expected to, why would anyone stopped them? The political arena is a Nasty, Corrupt, Machivellian lifestyle, do you guys honestly think Sir Viv a humble, kind, deeply love icon, should get involved in this nasty mess.
    The PM knows the deep, low, dirtiness of politics and once you stepped in it’s open season, this now makes him the new dictator of the Caribbean, what a joke.

  14. So the son of Malcom Richards and Gretel Richards do not have any rights to speak out against wrong doing. Viv Richards was not brought to Antigua by his parents after getting citizen by investment- He was born in Ovals. He grew up in that neighborhood next to Grays farm and had to defend himself against the toughest of getto guys. He represents Antigua in Cricket and Football. He grew up in an era when boys respected men and especially respectable men. Playing for School or Superstar against Empire was going to war. They were rough and vicious- Scout, KS , Carva , Brother , Dit , Turtle, Veron came to ARG to win at all costs. The Bull( Viv) stood exactly on the cricket pitch as defiant. On their way you to the ARG they Called out to Mrs. Gretel Richards and said, tell your son he better not come to ARG today. Viv heard them and said Mom tell them to look back because me Mervin, Ashby and William are in here polishing our boots- we will be right behind them. Times like those prepared Viv for battles on and off the cricket field. He went to boys school and then on to grammar school. He stood up against apartheid when Antigua politicians allowed arms to be tested here and shipped to South Africa to kill our black brothers and sisters- dig up that. If Melo, Palo the John Bull , la Chicketa and Sheepy were around they would march to your office and say get out. Luther you are supposed to say hands of Harmo( Viv) . Antiguas had two national heroes of our own- Viv Richards and King Short Shirt. Viv did not go with underage girls- so go dig.

The PM said that the police officer involved allegedly shipped to Dominican 4 vehicles. PM said that people in the treasury are colluding with businessmen and robbed the treasury of our tax dollars. PM called the names of prominent businesses and owners and told the nation that they were stealing our tax dollars.
    Then he and he alone can decide on the punishment, for stealing millions from the treasury, while our people are dying because we do not have enough funds to provide better health care. PM can call out the names of people that the government assisted going overseas to get treatment for health issues – like naming and shaming.
    So Antiguans we need to send a message to tell PM Browne – stay clear of Vivian Richards. Luther every time villa guys talk about opportunities they got, they talk about you. You did not use any government resources, board appointments to stand up and provide for your people. You did it from the heart and you were loved and respected by All. These days I see you singing, like you are singing for your supper. Your beautiful Bride should be treated like a First Lady. Instead of you bowing to him and his. He should be pulling out chairs for you and Lady Lee to sit.
