LISTEN: Prime Minister makes open disclosures about players in ongoing vehicle investigation

1. I will never see eye to eye with the Prime Minister when it comes to not prosecuting High White Collor Crimes. Each time he is in the middle, preventing the Law to take its course. And again I mention the past cases under the UPP such as the ABI Bank fiasco, the John Ash bribery, the many scandals that were revealed while in opposition such as the Fencing Scandals, the School Busses. And now again the alledged circumvention by car dealers not to pay the right taxes on imported vehicles. Why not let the investigation start by the police and let the Chit fall were they may. And it is not fair when a little man get caught for stealing a small thing he is thrown in jail. That is what I would call Elite Class Justice. Riche people do not have to go to jail, they just have to repay the monies they stole. Where then is the deterrent for them to stop doing the same thing in the future. Just a slap on the wrist. And promise not to do it again. What a thing.

2. Mr. PM how will the Poor Man ever feel that Justice is EQUAL for everyone. Whether you rich or poor. When each time we see that the Rich are getting away with a slap on the wrist when they are caught. This thing will be hard to swallow for the people. We do not want RESTITUTION. We want EQUAL RIGHTS AND JUSTICE.

3. We have three Branches of Government :
   The legislative
   The executive,
   and The judicial branch.
   You and the ministers sit in the the Execuitve and the Legislative. But somehow you now chose to also sit in the Judiciary. That to me is not right and not fair to the people. Let the Judiciary do their work un-hindred by you. The DPP and the police will look into the case and decide whether or not to bring charges. But you from the start is preventing this from happening.

6. This is the only area of your discussion that I respect.
   Sir you don’t have the legal authority to intervene and prevent the police from having a full scale investigation. Sir it is unfair to have poor people children at 1735 for simple stealing a cellphone. A young man died in prison while on remand, for a simple cellphone.
   If you are going to stamp out corruption, there must be an investigation. Just like you called out Mr. Harney name and went into details about over priced vehicles. We need a full investigation. Too many government officials across too many ministries are involved not to have a proper investigation. Thai is not the role of the prime minister.
   So if the commissioner of police was listening and don’t take action. Then he too is a fraud.
   Your role is to assist the police with the necessary resources to caylht this investigation. Even if it entails bring in external investigators, accountants and forensic scientists.
   Sir this is just an icing on the cake and unless there is a proper investigation and public inquiry. The public, especially the poor vulnerable people of Antigua should never have confidence in government or your administration.
   The masses are deprived of proper health care, look at the roads , the water supply. Our teachers were chastised for standing up for their pittance. While these people in the treasury were processing and advancing these corrupt vouchers. You blamed the comptroller of customs and rightly so. So what happen to the accountant general. Who signs the treasury checks? All big checks goes through the AG.
   Then there is the dunce at the center of the corruption. It was mind boggling how you were soft on this dude. That is the brainless beast you created. Everyone sees him in the treasury, at customs, at the Vechicle dealers . Hard working, businessman in Antigua are catching hell while these swindlers are doing well.
   You called out other corrupt businessmen. Well you never called out corrupt Baba. He gets all the government contracts by directions. He is a bigger building contractor than Ryan or Roberts construction or Harrigan- All Saints police station- overpriced, St.John’s police station over priced, Bolands police station over priced, working at UWI under public works over priced, constructing roads over priced. Five islands primary school construction- Providing government with vehicles over priced. Signatures don’t have to be on documents to be involved. Mr. Harney’s name is not on any documents but you called his name several times.
   The center piece is involved in conflict of interest as well- building houses for several government officials. This includes you and the accountant general. Antigua has several building contractors , that are far more qualified.

7. I don’t listen to any one-sided propaganda channels whatsoever, especially this on this myopic radio programme or the ABS indoctrination television show.

   But I guarantee you one thing though, that those patrons sharing studio time with the Prime Minister Browne will just sit there, then throw out softer than soft, softball questions, and allow his responses to go unchallenged as per usual.

   A balanced two way debate is democratic.
