LIAT 2020’s Future Holds Promise, Says PM Browne

4

Prime Minister Gaston Browne remains optimistic about the outlook of Caribbean air travel through the efforts of LIAT 2020.

The region’s air transportation system’s potential gains increasing support, while former LIAT (1974) Ltd. chairman, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, and St. Vincent’s Prime Minister express interest in investing.

Browne emphasizes the importance of a functional airline for seamless regional connectivity, countering governments hoping for benefits without investment.

Antigua and Barbuda’s multi-million-dollar investment in LIAT 2020 maintains operations, yet a fleet shortage hinders service quality.

Though InterCaribbean serves ex-LIAT routes, criticisms push for LIAT’s return.

Browne stresses cooperative regional integration to address underlying issues.

Progress is seen with investments from leaders like Dr. Gonsalves and St. Lucia’s Philip Pierre.

  1. By the time that promise is fulfilled, we would have lost thousands of citizens who couldnt get proper health care; senior citizens who died of frustration trying to get their pensions; an entire generation of young people who see no future outside of smoking weed and crime. Poor us!

LIAT??? What about Antigua Airways and Air Peace? They hold promise too, or too much blood and tarnish there?
