LIAT 2020 also said that its website is still being developed, so bookings are only being accepted via telephone or email, [email protected] or 268-713-LIAT.

As LIAT 2020 takes off, the Caribbean watches with optimism.

The return of this crucial air link is seen as not just a business venture, but a vital component of regional integration and economic development.

  1. Antigua 🇦🇬 to Barbados 🇧🇧 is a very important financual link, especially for those CARICOM members who are expecting to expand their businesses region wide.

Here’s hoping that this is a REAL long term venture and not a “fly by night gone tomorrow” misadventure by the ABLP once again.

Please prove me wrong for once Gaston? 🥸

  2. Please get the schedule dates right…we are now in the year 2024….your schedule is reflected as such: 10/08/21 from a cursory view. Wow! No oversight in effect to proof read, for typos? Still grounded with hope for LIAT and Arl’we.

  3. I hope the Barbados and st Lucia government and any other who let liat fly in put things in place to make all fees paid on a monthly basis no running up big bills in the tens of thousands like before.

  4. In business you have to walk before you run. And this is a good beginning. All I would recommend to the new Liat 2020 is to compete on service and price. We need inter Island connection more then ever. And please take a leave from the airlines operating in ASIA such as Scoot. These airlines are catering for the business travelers in particulars. Therefore they have cheap flights, however the catch is in the luggage service. You are only allowed one carry on not weighing more then 10KG. They charge you heavy on baggage. But that is ok because business travelers travel very light. A heavy aircraft burns more fuel. And for families visiting other families in other island they also travel light. Just a few clothes in your carry-on. And usually the stay is either for the weekend or a long holiday weekend. When I fly to St. Lucia I do not carry much with me if I only will stay a few days for business.

  5. To be fair and to my utmost detriment @ Curious, I have used the word “Honourable” towards the Prime Minister, but that was way, way back in 2014 as a former ABLP supporter.

I MUST HAVE BEEN CRAZY 🤪

However, that term can NOT be used today … unless transparency, accountability and the Freedom of Information Act is restored accordingly to his current tenure and party.

    Simplification personified …

In the meantime @ Curious, try and respond to my valid points and criticisms – you Gastonites NEVER do.

Or is it part of becoming an ABLP supporter/or member 🤣

  6. Wtf one flight on carnival Tuesday next on August 19th
    You ppl are jokers
How do you launch an airline with fls 2wk apart then 2days apart and that’s all that is there to update
    Cmon stop the half-assed nonsense
It’s either you are operating an airline or a private jet service. It can not be both

  7. Finally time to weigh in again.

Initial areas to note (On the negative side) :

No apparent IATA membership currently so no BSP (Bank settlement plan) presence.
No apparent GDS (Global distribution System) presence currently.

If these remain the case watch out for cash flow issues as they attempt to expand.

“Parent Company” Air Peace have IATA membership and BSP presence plus GDS participation.
So flights bookable via their own tickets as well as through airline booking intermediary airline Hahn Air.

Competing airlines in the Caribbean area
Caribbean Airlines, Intercaribbean Airways ,Winair, Sunrise Airways and SkyHigh have a presence via IATA ticketing by travel agents using the airlines own ticket stock or Hahn Air ticketing stock as well as the airlines own websites.
Interline sales via other airlines tickets are also possible .

LIAT(1974) ,prior to May 2020 also had the same sales distribution coverage .

  8. This is an Air Peace registered airline. When you get a chance research their money laundering and air safer back ground. Good luck to those who choose to fly with them.
Try not to let some fresh paint on an old aircraft fool you.

Brix it only shows the hatred and disrespect you have for the man and the office he holds.

  10. Again @ From the Sideline, you have confirmed what I said earlier; you ABLP acolytes can never respond in kind – coherently – to what I’ve actually said.

COUNTRY FIRST – HATRED HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT, YOU DAMN FOOL

TRANSPARENCY IN GOVERNANCE PLEASE, THAT’S ALL ANTIGUANS REQUEST …

  11. @Brixtonian August 12, 2024 At 9:39 am
I know you will keep addressing me as From the Sideline. But that is OK. Whenever he choses to come out of his sleep and answer you, that is up to him/her.
But be honest with yourself. Have you ever seen a more transparent government in Antigua and Barbuda than this Gaston Browne Government.
Which other government has hold press briefings every Thursday after Cabinet meetings. And reporters are invited to ask any questions regarding the report on those meetings. Which Prime Minister has been on the radio almost every Saturday for four hours taking questions from the public on almost any and every topic. Unless it is state secret.
Going to Parliament, which prime minister has taken more questions from the opposition at every parliamentary session for at least thirty minutes.
And how many time haven’t ministers of Cabinet not make themselves available to the public for questioning on their ministry.
So what is it you are talking about when you say Transparency in Government.
Just name any other Prime Minister in the past or Government for that matter.
The UPP talked about transparency but never ever practice that. In fact Winston Derrick used to beg them to come to his program to talk to the people. This administration makes sure either the minister of Information or the Chief of Staff is available to answer questions. And a report of the important things discussed in the Cabinet are distributed to the media houses.

  12. Really @lest We Forget. You call that lie fest a press conference. There is very little substantial content in those press conferences. The journalist are soft and week in countering the half truths those briefing puts out. Please!!! The PM do not respect the office he holds nor the citizens he governs. You want folks to respect him: You yourself don’t even believe what you write. Nimrods.

  13. The “LIAT 20” website is up and kind of operational. Some quirks remain .
