LIAT 2020, the successor to LIAT (1974) Ltd., is nearing operational readiness pending the acquisition of necessary Air Operations Certificates (AOC).
Ambassador Daven Joseph, interim chairman of LIAT 2020, has confirmed progress towards full operations, with two demo flights planned this week.
These flights, standard in aviation, aim to secure AOC in collaboration with ECCAA. One flight will go to St. Kitts on Thursday, the other to St. Lucia on Friday, with ECCAA officials and LIAT 2020 staff aboard an ATR aircraft from the former LIAT.
Following these demos, AOC issuance is expected soon, as per discussions with ECCAA and PM Gaston Browne.
LIAT 2020, a joint venture with Air Peace, plans to expand its fleet to six planes with three additional aircraft from Air Peace, although the arrival timeline remains unspecified.

With LIAT (2020) somethings change with each announcement, with the exception of Antigua 30% ownership and Air Peace 70% ownership.
Think the WIOC and DCA deal is bad; this is 100 times worse.
Antigua provides 4 aircrafts that it has made ready and is now awaiting certification. A hanger, a terminal and invaluable market and brand name.
Air Peace promises 3 aircrafts whose arrivals are undetermined.
