LIAT 2020 recently received two jet aircraft, prompting urgent efforts to staff the airline and establish operational systems quickly. Hafsah Absulsalam, representing Air Peace Caribbean, prioritizes obtaining the Air Operators Certificate from ECCAA.
Training and demonstration flights with ART aircraft have begun, led by Absulsalam, an aviation veteran.
The airline aims to launch within weeks, focusing on St. Kitts and St. Lucia for initial flights and gearing up for a marketing campaign and ticket sales.
Acquisition of the certificate and successful demonstration flights are critical milestones for LIAT 2020’s launch and operations.

STATUS UPDATE
The two leased jets from Air Peace has arrived. For which they are 70% supposed owners of LIAT(2020)
Hafsah Absulsalam, representing Air Peace Caribbean is a Gaston Browne sycophant with no credibility.
Demonstration of the old LIAT 1974 plane failed, and the landing gear has to be replaced
Acquisition of the Air Operators Certificate from ECCAA depends upon a number of factors which has not been met as yet.
Several demonstration flights have to be scheduled yet.
The Antigua and Barbuda Workers Union (ABWU) is still holding out for 100% cash payment to LIAT (1974) workers. Unlikely to happen.
ABWU needs to take the compensation in cash bonds and land as well as some of the questionable 70% Air Peace Ownership of LIAT(2020)
Should LIAT workers become shareholders they would be be incentivized to make LIAT(2020) a profitable company.
