Who could possibly be accountable for the heartbreaking loss of our teenage girls? What could drive someone to commit such irrational acts of violence?
This morning, I write with a heavy heart. As a mother, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of dread at the thought of such a tragedy befalling any of them. We urgently need to take action.
The untimely deaths of our young girls cannot be allowed to continue. My thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones during this incredibly painful time. This senseless brutality shakes the country that I call home. Achazia deserved so much more than this tragic fate.
As I reflect on this, I can’t help but envision the fear that must have gripped her as she faced her attacker.
The sheer terror she must have felt in those final moments is unimaginable. I picture her instinctively raising her hands to shield herself, only to suffer further harm in that horrific encounter.

How can anyone find peace at night after committing such a heinous act against a child? How can anyone rest easy after reading about this tragedy? Certainly, the family of this girl cannot.
The individual responsible for this atrocity will face consequences, whether in this life or the next.
Yenifer Bridge also met a brutal end. Abducted, assaulted, and strangled at just 16 years old, her life was cut tragically short.
These young girls were taken from us far too soon, in the prime of their lives, robbed of the chance to achieve their dreams.
Achazia will never experience high school graduation, college, marriage, or the joy of watching her children grow. Instead, her mother must bear the unimaginable pain of outliving her daughter.

Similarly, Bridge will not witness her son’s growth, missing out on precious moments like his third birthday and the joys of parenthood.

There’s no doubt that attacks on our females are increasing here in Antigua. If there’s a serial rapist and killer on the loose, then our women need a more visible police presence – night and day – to combat this madman.
If it’s a multitude of men carrying out these heinous crimes then the Police Commissioner Attlee Rodney needs an appropriate police force to deal with it.
More equipment, more vehicles and a designated “task” force to include women that will be more empathetic in the crimes against women.

This hurts my heart and bring me to tears as a mother myself. I right this wiping tears as Bijoux says imagine what she was going through during the attack. At that age no one ever have the scenario of fighting for life in the for front of there minds.
This murder in particular makes me think it was commited my girls. We cannot sleep on these young girls they fight like men & behave like men. They are indeed very masculine and have a spirit of jealousy on them. The way they speak of and at each other the fights the conflits and arguing. Let us think of the society we are in with this generation.
I pray that we will go back to the day of it takes a village and if we see something we say something.
It not only Antiguans we are now a diverse country. We are the melting pot of the Caribbean. Let us unit to save the youths of the generations to come.
To the people of Antigua and it resident’s, Jamacians, Guyanese, Lucians, Dominicans, Santo Dominicans, African, American, Europeans, ect… Let us no longer sit but stand and speak up against it all. Murders, roberies, sexual abuse, domestic voilents, physical abuse. “If we see something say something.”
These young people girl, boys, women, men are someones sister,daughter, son,brother, mother, father aunt,uncle.
As parents of these victims start a vigilanty group and find these murders and deal with them according. If the police dont step up. Then get together and protect your girls & community. It takes a village. Start watch groups. Take accountabilty for these young people if they wont listen then do like what our older generation use to say. ” Who cannot hear will feel.” Put the preasure on.
Call the radio station say what you saw or heard. Use social media. Put them out there. Bring on the heat. Make them feel the pressure. Send voice notes to the media. Tape conversations with theses people when tgey bragging. They want to be murders, killers, abusers well bring them forward give them action and pressure.
To the police department its time to create a special victims department for these cases dont you think?

The killer(s) of these young ladies need to realize that the bucket goes to well for water every day & perhaps sooner than they expect oneday, the bottom of the bucket will drop out.
Suggestion: There are some experienced female officers in the police force & army who are small in stature.
They can be use as a bait or a trap to go after the killer. Let them singually & casually roam the streets armed but trailed by armed male officers so if there is an attack, the males will be there to the female’s rescue immediately.
Enough is enough! We can’t continue to lose our young girls or anyone is such manner & have the nation terrorized
