Dear Editor
I am writing as a concerned mother, deeply affected by the tragic news surrounding Chantel Crump’s abduction and murder. Each day when my children leave for school, I find myself holding them a little tighter, praying for their safety more fervently than ever before. The heartbreaking reality is that Chantel could have been my daughter or yours.
The fear that now permeates our community is palpable. Parents are walking on eggshells, particularly those of us who rely on school buses for our children’s transportation. The recent events have shaken our sense of security, leaving us anxious and uncertain about the safety of our children.
Even with Angela, the alleged killer, behind bars, we are left with lingering questions. Did she act alone? The reality that there may be others like her at large is terrifying and keeps us awake at night.
This tragedy has changed the way we live in Antigua and Barbuda. We must come together as a community to advocate for our children’s safety and demand accountability. It is time for us to engage in meaningful discussions about how we can protect our children and restore peace of mind to parents everywhere.
In light of these events, I urge our leaders and law enforcement to take decisive action, to implement measures that ensure the safety of our children both at school and in our neighborhoods. We cannot afford to remain silent; our children deserve better.

Antigua always ah cry that things get swept under the carpet now dem ah say dem tired see Chantal case pon de news. Ah wha really wrong wid aryu ? The case is not solved and we only know half the story but you want it bury. The only people who want the story fade out are the ones who ready to resume their abusive acts on our nations children after taking a few weeks off while things cool dung.

Chantel Crump, baby girl you will be remembered, because of you there will be changes in Antigua laws where there was never room for children because of you they will make room.Your case will never go cold there will be justice. Why don’t we all write a petition to government requesting to have the street she was taken from be remained after Chantel Crump.

It is important that the police commissioner alongside the government share pertinent information with the public. WHAT’S THE MOTIVE? Is it really true that the killer not talking or the police not sharing the information? It just doesn’t seem logical that this woman just kidnapped this random child and murdered her. The truth would help us understand and be better equipped. The General public must continue to keep “JUSTICE FOR CHANTEL” alive. Antiguans must demand a swift investigation, did she act alone? What’s the motive? Who else is responsible for this heinous crime and other unsolved crimes/mysteries, missing persons. We must be vigilant, we must pursue justice, we cannot turn a blind eye simply because it not our child, sister or family member. Somebody must be held accountable. If you know something, say something!
