Letter to Antiguans and Barbudans pertaining to applying for US immigration benefits.

It is vitally important for Antiguans and Barbudans to know that you have the right to hire a US attorney/advocate to assist you in applying for US immigration benefits that includes but not limited to visitor’s visa, green card, etcetera.

I am strongly recommending for locals to stop using local courier services who misrepresent themself to be experts in US immigration and Administrative law.

During these times, these services in Antigua and Barbuda should not be used, they are simply a courier/shipping company. You are at higher risk of denial with them and even being placed in jail/prison/detention from those entities help.

Please see expert assistance and avoid denials and prison. Intense scrutiny has begun for visa applications.

Denials for coming to the US to have a child, Denials for having a child in the US and not paying the hospital cost, denial for false or misleading information on applications, statements on your social media that is contrary to US policies, safety and National Security, etcetera.

Please use experts in US immigration and administrative law, not a local Antigua delivery/courier service that falsely portrays themself to be experts.

  1. Why don’t you put your name to your article, once you are truthful on your application there is nothing to worry about, stop trying to exploit the situation

  2. Chuptz,
The USA is not heaven, there are so many other beautiful places in the world to go, so what of we dont get their visa, I live in Antigua and compared to the USA this here is paradise. I am so tired of the nonsense.

  3. This article is full of hot air. Applying for a visitor’s visa is not an “immigration” service. A visitor’s visa is a NON-immigrant visa. You all just accept any letter? A waste of my time reading this.

  4. This was written by the Antiguan born but now living in the US attorney and frequent commentator on this website that goes by the name of My Way of Helping aka Mr. Francis.

  5. I remember a former client of mine contacted me about his cousin when entering the US was detained/jailed for days for entering on the wrong visa, the reason in which he said he was entering was not authorized on the US visa he present

I also remember being called because CBP (immigration) saw evidence the person is entering the country to work on a visitor’s visa (they qualified for a work visa but a courier service made him apply for a visitor’s visa when that was not the appropriate visa).

A courier service or any person is allowed to assist you fill out an application but they not authorized to offer legal opinions, interpret laws, or recommend specific courses of action.

Attorneys can accompany applicants to interviews (for non-immigrant or immigrant visa): While attorneys can accompany applicants, they cannot argue the case during the interview (minimal discussions are permitted).

Fun fact for those Antigua courier service who goes beyond helping to fill the forms: It is also a crime for foreign courier service to provide an applicant with legal opinions, interpret laws, or recommend specific courses of action pertaining to US immigration law for an application being submitted to a US embassy or other US agency. The US, if they want to, can get a warrant for your arrest and seek extradition of such person.

The crime doesn’t change from being a crime based on the type of application you are submitting ha ha ha ha ha.

  6. Everyone want run to the US yet they still a cuss off US. Antigua so sweet why all you want run US. Tap right ya. A paradise this.

  7. How can I contact you to help my brother brought to three US by my parents when 11. Now is still without papers and need to get status?
