LETTER: Thank God for A.I

1

Dear Editor,

A few days ago, I had the misfortune of reading a publication in which an entity in Antigua launched a public rant against one of its purported competitors.

In what can only be described as an emotional tirade, the entity lambasted its competitor for using artificial intelligence (A.I.) in its business. Interestingly, the entity targeted by this damaging and defamatory outburst chose not to respond publicly.

Among the remarks made against the use of A.I. were claims that the competitor’s work was not done by “real people,” that it employed no actual workers, and that its computers were “gathering dust.”

There were even insinuations that the entity had no physical presence and was operating out of a dark basement somewhere in the world.

Given the harshness of the criticism, imagine my shock when, just a few weeks later, the very same entity that had been so vocal in its condemnation of A.I. had fully embraced it.

In fact, the output of this entity in the past 24 hours has been entirely A.I.-generated! As we Antiguans say, “Wa coulda cas dis ya?” I think I may have an answer.

The abrupt shift seems to be the result of a realization: the competitor under fire had managed to significantly improve the quality of its work, increase its output, speed up production, and provide an overall better service—leaving its critic in the proverbial dust.

A.I. is a tool for everyone, and I am pleased to see this entity change its approach, opting to work smarter rather than harder.

The original criticism was likely motivated by jealousy or envy. The realization that such outdated views belong to a bygone era may ultimately help this entity compete more effectively.

Observing its A.I.-powered work over the weekend, I felt a sense of vindication. That said, as the old saying goes, “Eating one’s own words is never pleasant.”

Personally, I love A.I. In fact, I plan to use it to proofread this letter before sending it to Antigua Newsroom.

Interestingly, beyond embracing A.I., the same entity appears to have adopted the entire business model of its competitor. I predict this trend will continue.

Thank God for A.I.

Sincerely,
A.I Bullish
