LETTER: Still Haven’t Gotten My Back Pay

It’s February, and I still haven’t gotten my backpay as a former government worker. At first, it was before the end of December, then it was the end of January. Now, I’m hearing it should be paid by March. This is a very concerning trajectory.

It’s tiring now. It’s like the government has no intention to pay the money owed at this rate. If the government paid me the increases when they were owed, the government would not find itself having to pay this lumpsome. Now, I am left outside, and I am forced to keep my ears to the ground to figure out when I’m going to be paid.

I worked for the same period that is being paid as people who are still government employees and got their monies. It isn’t fair to pay some and not all. We ALL worked and might I add, I worked harder than my former colleagues who have since been paid.

Gaston, you said by the end of January, so please make it rain.

  1. When you tell a lies, you have to always create new lies to support the previous ones. With a surplus of some TWO HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS, why can’t they meet their obligations? Nothing but a Mob of thieves and liars.

  3. There are people who have to be still running to accounts in their ministry who haven’t been paid yet.
    These people neither ps,psa or accounts give obe hoop. THEY ALREADY GOT THEIRS.

    WHAT SURPLUS? BORROWED MONIES CANNOT BE USED AS SURPLUS.HE DID SAY HE WAS GOING TO BORROW ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA OUT OF DEBT. I ASKED HIM FOR THAT MATH FORMULA.I AM STILL WAITING IN VAIN TO GET IT.ALL TALK AND NOTHING MORE.HE WOULD SAY STUPID THINGS ON HIS RADIO STATION TO GET THE ATTENTION BY DISTRACTING THE MASSES. WHAT I WOULD LIKE GAS-MAN TO TELL US.HOW MUCH IN DEBTED THE COUNTRY IS IN REGARDS TO ACTUAL INCOMES,YEARLY.AS THE FINANCED MINISTER,YOU SHOULD HAVE ALL OF THOSE INFO AT YOUR FINGER TIPS.
